This Christmas, Friars Walk will once again be hosting Santa’s Grotto in December, offering families a magical festive experience every weekend in the run-up to Christmas. Located in the Mall, Santa’s Grotto will have a ‘winter wonderland’ theme complete with twinkling lights and festive charm. Families can enjoy an unforgettable Christmas experience featuring friendly elves, hands-on activities, and personal visits with Santa in his cosy log cabin setting.
The Grotto experience includes meeting Santa’s elves for festive entertainment, creating magical reindeer food to take home, and receiving special gifts during individual visits with Santa. Each 30-minute session accommodates no more than five families, ensuring intimate, personalised experiences with dedicated time for photos and one-to-one conversations with Santa.
The Grotto operates on weekends from 6-21 December from 11am to 5pm. Advance booking is strongly recommended at £6 per child plus a 40p booking fee, though limited walk-in tickets may be available on-site for cash or card payment. To enhance the magical experience, families can provide information about their children during booking, allowing Santa to personalise visits with details ‘only Santa would know’. This confidential information is shared exclusively with Santa and the Head Elf to create authentic Christmas magic.
The venue is fully accessible with flat flooring and wheelchair-friendly facilities. Families requiring special support or accommodations are encouraged to specify needs during ticket purchase to ensure smooth visits.
